The JV boys took the floor for the last time in 2018 against the Sparta Spartans on Monday night. The Tigers never seemed to get into rhythm, suffering from poor shooting and plagued by turnovers throughout the game. A run in the third quarter gave the Tigers the lead, but Sparta hit a three late and made some key free throws to regain the lead and hold off the Tigers. "We are still struggling in some key areas," said Coach Delamater, "Going 11-26 from the line and turning the ball over 15 times will usually end in a loss. With that said, we are seeing some huge improvements in other areas, especially on the defensive end of the floor." Elliott Butchart led the Tigers with 13 points and Jed Vanderweide grabbed 6 rebounds. Diego Krepps played some great minutes off the bench with five points and some excellent effort on defense. The JV boys will not play again until 2019.
