Lady Tigers started off the game moving to ball, but Chip Hills was also hungry for possession. Multiple dangerous attempts at goal were made by our offense but it wasn’t until 23 minutes of the first half remained on the clock that center mid, Emme Losee, fed a beautiful ball to forward, Nikki Tellkamp; who gracefully tapped ball into Chip’s net. With first half of the game winding down, Delaney Cronk (right lateral mid) crossed a ball into opponent’s box where once again Nikki crashed that ball into the net. An unfortunate call made in our box led to a penalty kick favoring Chip Hills. Penalty kicks are difficult for keeps and might frighten most, but not our Keeper Lilian Scott whom likes the challenge. Chip Hills take the penalty which Lili comfortably stops, but a questionable call made by the refs declares a retake of the pk. Once again, Chip Hills takes it without any luck as Lilian Scott denies them the goal for the second time. Delaney Cronk, notably hungry for more goals, was pressing and running every ball she received; which paid off as she scored two goals back to back with only minutes left in the first half thanks to assists from both Alainna Dietz and Kylie Avink. Score at half time was Lady Tigers 4-0 Chip Hills. Second half started and Delaney Cronk not wasting any time, with an assist from Kim Settlemyre, runs the ball through opponents defensive line and scores her third goal of the game; putting our Tigers in a comfortable lead of 5-0. Playmaker, Emme Losee once again feeds Nikki a ball in which Nikki, with patience, puts the ball into Chip’s goal. Chip Hills desperate to win the ball and gain control of a game the Tigers controlled committed a foul and a direct kick was granted to Tigers. Gracie Bearup, lead center back defense, proving to be a versatile player, came up to take the kick which landed the ball perfectly in our opponents net. For the last 5 minutes our goalkeeper came out of goal and Nikki Tellkamp went into goal leaving Lilian playing forward. During her time in goal, Nikki had one save! It was a good win for our Lady Tigers!
