The rivalry game between the Lions and Tigers was looked at to be a bump on the Lions schedule, but Grant came to play and made a game out of it 40-54. "The final score doesn't indicate how well we played," said Coach Delamater. "We were right in it but the Lions did a great job from the free-throw line to close the game out." Freshmen Julie Ashbaugh led the team with a double-double on the night collecting 10 rebounds and adding 12 points. Jaycee Rider also added 12 for the Tigers and Sara Arends dished out 6 assists. Delamater added, "We played our best game in terms of being in control on offense. Even with their 1-3-1 trap, we still managed to get under control on offense and get some really good looks at the basket." Delamater went on to say, "Congratulations to Jaylee Long on her 1,000 career point tonight. No matter who you play for, that is quite an accomplishment and should be recognized!"
