The Grant Varsity Girls traveled up 131 to take on the Reed City Coyotes last night in conference action. The game saw two completely different halves from the Tigers, giving up 22 points to the Coyotes in the first half and only 10 in the second. "We definitely were not on defensively in the first half. We were slow to the ball, slow to help, and it resulted in foul trouble right away," said Coach Delamater. In the third, the Tigers put the clamps down, only allowing two Reed City points. Delamater added, "The intensity level was much better starting the third. We put ourselves in better position defensively and that helped get some easy steals." The Tigers were led by Julie Ashbaugh with 12 points and Sara Arends added 11 and led the team in rebounding with 7.
