Grant vs. Newaygo rivalry filled stands on a great, competitive night for JV basketball contests. Both teams played hard, with back and forth shots made and steals executed, in a full court press event. Lions were able to take a five point lead in the 2nd quarter, a deficit that the Tigers struggled against. Tigers competed to the very end, but fell short by 10. Offense has improved in just a weeks time and the Tigers are prepping for the rematch of their rivals.
Three consecutive game, leading scorer Swanson, scored 11 with Arends and Rider for 8 points apiece.
