Boys Varsity Cross Country vs. Benzie Central MS/HS

The boys traveled to Benzonia yesterday and competed in the Pete Moss Invite. The boys were led by Reece Welch's 17:59 finish. He won the session, medaled and placed 25th overall in the division. Carter Cole (19:07), Aaron Zimmer (19:09), Brodie Delamater (19:18), Cohen Garrod (19:55) Lucas Swanson (20:06) and Oakley Obenauf (20:46) were the varsity finishers on the afternoon. The JV finishers on the afternoon were Kyle Brege (20:54), Charlie Atwood (21:05) and Jack Noble (24:19).
Overall, it was a good first race of the season with half of the team being freshman and raced their first high school 5K. It will be exciting to watch this team continue to develop over the course of the season.
