Girls Varsity Cross Country vs. Portage Northern HS School

The girls traveled to Portage on Saturday to compete in the prestigious Portage Invitational. The Lady Tigers were led by Elizabeth Gates seasons best performance of 21:14. Other season best performances were run by Samantha Fryling (25:24), Brenda Mendez (26:33) and Gracie Bearup (24:36). Gracie ran a faster time at this season's Portage Invitation than last year. Personal best performances were run by Mariana Risch (25:11), Sammie Wolff (26:24), Misia Merati (33:33) and Audry Merrifield (33:46). Audry crushed her previous personal best of 38:02. The Lady Tigers will travel to Newaygo on Tuesday to compete in the 2nd CSAA Jamboree of the season.
