Our boys started off slow as you could see nerves were setting in. The first game of the season will usually do that to players. Hart kicked off the season with a goal against us. After a few more minutes, our boys settle down and started playing their game. They upped their defense as that was the only goal that Hart scored in the first half. With 27 minutes 35 seconds in the first half, sophomore, Tomas Charles, found freshman, Dylan Sutton in the far post to tie it up. At the half, we are tied up one to one. Our defense still playing very strong either stole the ball or goalkeeper, Logan Osborn, made one of his 18 saves. With 21 minutes 16 seconds left in the second half, keeper Logan Osborn, bombed a ball deep into Hart territory which freshman, Jayden Powell, ran down and he found the back of the net to put Grant up by one goal. That didn't last as Hart was very determined to tie the game up with less than 10 minutes left in the game. With defense working double time to hold Hart to only three shots in that last 10 minutes and offense passing the ball, junior Tommy Jasso, found a seem and made a beautiful pass to senior, Cesar Hernandez, with 3 minutes 53 seconds left in the game to once again put Grant up by 1. With stellar defense by all 11 players, that ended up being the final. Grant 3 Hart 2.

Our defense was led by junior, Cole Pugno with 41 intercepts (steals). Followed by senior, Albert Macias with 36, senior, Andrew Decker with 32, freshman Ian Oatis with 29, and sophomore, Kaiden Pascoe with 28.
