Lady Tigers, coming off of a good win were hungry for more as they went into the game today vs. Lakeview. Game started off slow but with Grant dominating possession at midfield it was only a matter of time for one of the Tigers to score. Forward, Nikki Tellkamp, had several attempts at goal in the first half but was unable to find Lakeview’s net. The multiple attempts motivated her more to want to score. First half ended 0-0. Second half started, and the game plan was to own the ball at midfield and push forward with controlled passes. Midfielders Kim Settlemyre and Alainna Dietz winning and recovering 50/50 balls with the aid of a strong defense (Sydney Higgins, Gracie Bearup, Carli Fryling, and Avery Geisen). Lakeview attempting to play offside trap which worked on few occasions was not enough to stop the quality passing our Tigers were displaying. Emme Losee, once again creating plays with striker (Nikki) and lateral wings, Makayla Cronk/Sam Fryling and Teslynn Ausema continued to push forward. Beautiful back to back plays that led to Nikki scoring our first goal, Teslynn scoring second goal, and our final third goal from Nikki. Keeper, Lilian Scott, did not see much action, but did have 5 saves two of which she took amazing dives out of goal to shield the ball.   A well-earned second win for this week for our lady Tigers!!
