Reed City started off the game with urgency as they scored their first goal a minute into the game. Grant’s defense was caught off-guard and keep, Lilian Scott, was unable to react due to a crowded box.   Lady tigers had multiple attempts at recovering ball at midfield but the ladies from Reed City had speed on their side; which made possession and recovery slightly difficult for our Tigers. First half slipped away and ended with Reed City leading 1 to 0 against our Lady Tigers. Second half started and our Tigers were starting to get frustrated. A foul in our box led to refs calling a penalty kick in favor of Reed City. Penalty kicks are nerve wrecking to most but Tiger’s goalkeeper, Lilian Scott, loves the challenge. Reed City took the penalty kick as we held our breaths on the bench and let out a scream of joy and relief when our Keep, with great reaction, denied them the goal. The ball bounced off Lili’s hands and was alive in our box. With urgency, Tiger’s defense kicked it out of danger.  With 26 minutes left, a ball was sent to right side of the field where right lateral mid, Delaney Cronk, settled ball and started a run up the field. At the top right side of the 18 box Delaney took a quick look up and decided to take a shot that landed the ball gracefully into Reed City’s goal. This tied up the game and it remained tied to the end.
