Tiger Tennis team takes home the Championship trophy!!! The girl's tennis team got the spring 2019 season started Saturday at a cold and windy North Point Christian Invitational. Three of last year's top 10 state finalists were in the tournament and the Tigers rose to the occasion taking the flight championship at 4 singles and 4 doubles. Sophomore Emma Hetler went 3-0 on the day winning a 3 set semi final to earn 1st place. The team of Cecilia Ovalle and Elvira Cruz won a 3 set final over Traverse City St Francis to take the championship medals as well. The Tigers put 4 other flights into the finals, earning runner up honors, 1S, 2S, 2D, and 3D. All flights played great winning at least 2 matches to propel the team to 18 points and first place. Host, NPC had 16, TCSF 15, North Muskegon 14, and Whitehall 10.
