JENISON HIGH SCHOOL: 2
Last night the Tigers traveled to Jenison for some nonconference play. The Tigers opened with a loss to Class A Portage Central 2-=25, 25-27. The Tigers advanced to play Class A Jenison narrowly losing set one 25-27 and ultimately losing set two 17-25. However, the Tigers rebounded in match three of the night and swept North Pointe Christian 25-20, 25-18.
Stat leaders for the night were Olivia Keelean with 33 kills followed by Kylie Patton with 12 and Megan Wegener with 12. Setter Nicole Whan chipped in 68 assists. Dig leaders were Kirstyn Throop with 28, Jill Arends with 24, and Olivia Keelean with 23. Strong blocking numbers were turned in by Kendall Wilkerson with 4 and Kylie Patton with 3.
The Tigers record stands at 30-11-2. The next match will be league play home against close town rival Newaygo. on Tuesday night.
