The Grant Tigers roared past the Newaygo Lions in their league match Tuesday night. The match unfolded quickly with Grant making great plays at the net and the service line. Games scores were: 25-14, 25-11, 25-7.
Stat leaders from the service line were Jill Arends with 7 aces, Megan Wegener with 6 aces, and Nicole Whan with 3 service aces. The net game was led by senior hitters Olivia Keelean and Kylie Patton with 14 and 11 kills on the night. Setter Nicole Whan tagged on 4 of her own kills while adding 37 assists in the match. Great defensive play came from Libero Kirstyn Throop with 11 digs while Kylie Patton added 6 blocks. Overall a great match for the Tigers.
The Tigers remain undefeated in their conference and boast a record of 31-11-2. Their next match will be next week at home against Big Rapids.
