Grant Varsity played well in a mini tournament held at East Kentwood HS tonight. The Tigers lost to Forest Hills Northern in 3 sets, winning the 1st set 25-21, then losing the 2nd set 23-25, and losing the 3rd set 6-15. Next, the Tigers competed well against Grandville winning the 1st set 25-18, but losing sets 2 & 3, 17-25 and 9-15. Our final match of the night was against Kalamazoo Loy Norrix where the Tigers won 25-16, 25-9.
Game leaders for the evening were Megan Wegener with 12 kills, Savannah Passage with 9 kills and Ashley Longcore with 8. Hayley Wegener led us in aces with 6, while Trinity Swanson added 5. Kirstyn Throop led us in digs with 37 while Sara Arends added 20.
