CENTRAL MONTCALM HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Tigers won a good battle against League opponents Central Montcalm 25-21, 15-25, 25-23, 25-21. It was great to play at home in front of our crowd and be supported by our community. The Tigers were led by Kirstyn Throop with 22 digs and 2 aces, and Trinity Swanson with 14 digs. Megan Wegener led us in kills with 9, while Ashley Longcore added 8 kills, 6 blocks, and 1 ace; Kayla Crater had a nice game with 3 blocks and 4 kills and Baylee Miller added 5 kills and 2 aces. Hayley Wegener and Sara Arends combined to have 26 assists and 14 digs between the two of them. The Tigers are now 1-0 in the league. Thursday we travel to Covenant Christian to play in a quad with Unity Christian and Comstock Park. Saturday the Tigers travel to Fruitport.
