COVENANT CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Varsity Volleyball team went 3-0 tonight in a quad at Covenant Christian, defeating Unity Christian 2-1 with scores 18-25, 25-22, 15-9. Then defeating the host Covenant Christian 2-0, 25-23, 25-18, and finished with a 3 set thriller against Comstock Park 23-25, 25-14, 15-11. It was a great night overall for our girls to gain some momentum and confidence winning two 3 set matches coming from behind. I am really proud of their efforts. They have continued to grow together as a team. The Tigers were led by Kirstyn Throop with 4 aces and 52 digs; Megan Wegener With 27 kills; Ashley Longcore and Savannah Passage contributed 10 kills each. Hayley Wegener had 55 assists and 19 digs, and Sara Arends added 21 digs as well. The Tigers play in a tournament at Fruitport this Saturday.
