CADILLAC: 2
The Grant Tiger volleyball team went 3-2 on the day and winning the Blue Division Championship. In pool play, the Tigers lost to a tough Haslett team 16-25, 19-25 and then defeated Benzie Central 25-12, 25-12, and then lost to Cadillac 12-25, 12-25. In the bracket play, the Tigers were seeded 1st and finished strong defeating Reed City 25-21, 25-9 and then Sparta in the finals 25-16, 25-22. Leaders for the tournament were Kirstyn Throop with 83 digs, Megan Wegener had 28 kills, Savannah Passage added 22 kills and 6 blocks, and Ashley Longcore added 16 kills and 7 blocks. Leading us in assists was Sara Arends with 65 with 34 digs, while Baylee Miller added 7 aces and 25 digs. Tigers will play Chip Hills on Tuesday at home for our 3rd league match of the season.
