Grant Varsity went 3-0 tonight defeating Walkerville, 25-14, 25-19, Holland Black River 25-19, 25-19, and Muskegon Catholic Central 25-14, 25-22. Tonight was a team effort with so many players contributing! We served tough and passed well in serve receive. We also had 8 players get double digit digs!
Leaders for the three games were Kirstyn Throop with 40 digs, 5 aces; Megan Wegener with 15 kills, 6 aces, 11 digs; Trinity Swanson with 9 aces and 15 digs; Savannah Passage with 13 kills, 1 block; Jaycee Rider had 12 kills, 1 block, 11 digs; Sara Arends added 3 aces and 18 digs; Baylee Miller had 15 digs; Ashley Longcore had 7 kills; and Hayley Wegener added 50 assists, 15 digs, and 2 aces.
The Tigers are 16-13-3 overall and 4-1 in league play. Next tournament is this Saturday at Kent City's Dig Pink Invitational.
