The Grant JV volleyball team took  first place at the Pine River Volleyball Invitational, going 4-1. In pool play, the Tigers defeated Forest Area High School  25-11, 25-14, then dropped two sets to Traverse City Christian 22-25, 19-25.  They regrouped to finish pool play splitting with Benzie 25-15, 23-25.  In the semi finals the Tigers faced Mesick and defeated them 25-5, 25-11.  In the Championship match the Tigers got revenged facing Traverse City Christian for the second time only this time playing tough and with a lot of energy. Defeating them 24-14, 25-20 to be Pine River Tournament Champions. It was a great day to be a Tiger.  The team passed the ball well and worked hard defensively all day.  Next match is a home league match on Tuesday against Newaygo.
