JENISON HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Grant JV Volleyball team lost to Jenison 16-25, 20-25 in the nights quad opener. In set one we struggle in all aspects of the game. In set two we played better but couldn’t get into any type of a rhythm. The second game we defeated Montague 25-17 & 25-18 and closing the night out with a win over the Big Rapids Cardinals 25-8, 25-13. We did a much better job at passing which led us to utilize all our hitters. The Tigers play Tuesday night at home against the Vikings of Tri-County at 5:30.
Leaders for the night; Jaycee Rider 17 points, 8 aces, 9 kills, 11 digs, 66 sets and 17 assists; Jessica Throop 29 points, 12 aces, 18 digs; Kylie Avink 18 points, 6 aces, 5 kills, 4 digs, 48 settings attempts, 14 assists; Taylee Self 8 points, 2 aces, 1 block, 5 kills, 11 digs.
