CENTRAL MONTCALM HIGH SCHOOL: 26
The Grant Tigers loss to the host Central Montcalm Hornets 26-20 in a game that went down to the wire. The Tigers offense was led by a rushing attack that totaled 239 yards. Junior Orion Evans led the charge with 142 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries. Junior Trevor Lowery had 62 yards on the ground to go with his two touchdowns.
The defense effort was led by senior Jarrett Railling with 12 tackles. Junior Trevor Lowery and Sophomore Treyton Railling both followed the up with seven tackles apiece.
“ We shot ourselves in the foot when it really mattered” according to coach Geragty after the game. “I’ve got to do a better job getting these kids ready”. They played their tails off, we will rebound from this”.
