CHIPPEWA HILLS HIGH SCHOOL: 7
The Grant Tigers traveled to Chippewa Hills and lost a tough game on the Warrior’s Homecoming night 7-2. The defense gave up a touchdown on the opening drive and shut down the Warriors offense the remainder of the night. Leading the defensive charge was Jarret Railling with eight tackles including three for loss. Four additional Tigers had six tackles apiece (Trevor Lowry, Elliott Butchart, Bill Ostyn, and Brady Jacobs). The offense was led by Brendan Keelean who had 77 yards rushing and 112 yards passing. Billy Ostyn and Brett long both had 51 yards receiving. Coach Geraghty credits the defensive staff with a great game plan, which our kids were able to execute. “Offensively we need to find the end zone, we can move the ball in the middle of the field but when we get near the opponents end zone we fizzle out.” “These are great kids and our coaching staff works extremely hard and we will find a way.” “ I give a lot of the credit to the Warriors who played a tough game.”
