The few healthy Grant Wrestlers left at the regular season's end traveled to Orchard View for the MHSAA Individual Districts. The Tigers left with 2 regional qualifiers. Sophomore Adrian Bouwkamp pinned his Shelby opponent in the 2nd period to advance, before losing to his Whitehall opponent to finish in 4th place in the 119lbs weight class. Senior Caleb Thompson pinned a Shelby wrestler and won by major decision over his Grand Rapids Catholic Central opponent before losing to the top seeded Shane Cook from Whitehall by pin. Bubba responded by defeating Cook's teammate in the "blood round" 7-1 to advance. Thompson pinned his Muskegon Catholic Central opponent to finish in 3rd place at Heavyweight. The two Tigers travel to Lansing Sexton Saturday March 27th for Regionals.
